Friends of Perimeter College Community Wind Ensemble
Perimeter College Community Wind Ensemble (PCCWE) consists of musicians from the Georgia State University-Perimeter College student body and community members from the greater Atlanta Metro area. Our musicians’ abilities range from amateur to professional. We play a wide variety of concert band music of all styles and genres – orchestral transcriptions, marches, concert band classics, pop medleys and more. Read more about our history. Wind Ensemble Events
The next concert by the Georgia State Perimeter College Community Wind Ensemble is Thursday, November 30, 8pm at Cole Auditorium, Fine Arts Building, Perimeter College, Clarkston Campus.
We’re calling the fall concert “The Movie Music Concert”. To be honest, that’s taking the easy way out. So much classical music has been used by film makers that almost any concert could be called a movie music concert. Of the eight works we’re playing, five have been used in more than fifty movies. And that’s just feature length films. If you include short subjects and cartoons, I think you’d come up with an incredibly large number. See the concert program.
Sign up for our mailing list to stay up to date with concerts and events. We’ll send you a reminder a few days before the next concert.
If you’d like to join us on stage as a musician, just fill out the Member Information Form and someone will contact you with details about the next rehearsal.
